MFR & MLD
Myofascial release or Manual Lymph Drainage—slow, precise work specific to lymphatic and fascial restriction.
Individualized therapeutic care and practical, hands-on education for healthcare professionals.
Manual lymphatic drainage for people maintaining stabilized lymphedema, recovering from recent cosmetic or other surgery, or seeking physician-connected support for lipedema, autoimmune conditions, scar tissue, and more.
Physical therapists and nurses have asked Heather to share the massage skills developed through decades of practice. This practical, hands-on training is her response to that need.
Every session is built around your goals and, when applicable, your referral or established plan of care. Heather may draw from these modalities individually or combine them according to what is being addressed.

Heather Sager has spent decades practicing and teaching massage therapy in both Ohio and Colorado. She taught massage therapy for more than ten years and has worked in hospital pain relief, hospice and veteran care, medical spas, salons, and private practice. She has also prepared massage students for professional board examinations and written educational material for the profession.
Rather than trying to work broadly across every corner of massage therapy, Heather has spent much of her career going deeply into the lymphatic and fascial systems—two systems that quietly shape how the body holds tension, moves fluid, and recovers.
Her work today draws on that experience to provide thoughtful, individualized massage and manual therapy, and professional hands-on education.
After intensive lymphedema treatment has reduced and stabilized limb volume, patients are often expected to manage a lifelong condition with far less professional contact. Other patients need knowledgeable support following cosmetic or medically necessary surgery, or as part of an established care plan for lipedema, autoimmune conditions, or scar tissue.
Massage Must-Haves offers a local point of support for appropriate manual lymphatic drainage in Tiffin and surrounding communities. Heather works within each person's established plan of care and welcomes communication from physicians, surgeons, lymphedema therapists, and other members of the healthcare team.
This is at the heart of Heather's individual practice: quiet, focused work intended to support recovery, restore healthier fluid movement, and improve quality of life when MLD is appropriate.
Back to the basics. Nurses, PTs, PTAs, and other licensed professionals may already have the scope to use hands-on techniques, but they have not always been given enough practical training to hone those skills fully.
After an injury, irritable, guarded, painful muscles require patient, effective hands-on attention to relieve trigger points, tension, and restriction. Strengthening can then be introduced progressively. Repeatedly loading tissue that remains tense, tender, and restricted may aggravate symptoms rather than address what is preventing normal function.
The training focuses on practical application—not hours of unnecessary bookwork—and builds on what each professional's license already allows.
"The quality of touch matters—whether it supports one person or strengthens a healthcare team."
